MUHAMMAD FAISAL VS State S.353---Police encounter---Standard of proof---High Court observed that standard of proof should be far higher as compared to any other criminal case, thus, it was desirable and even imperative that it should have been investigated by some other agency---Police, in that case, could not have been investigators of their own cause---Such investigation which was woefully lacking independent character could not be made basis for conviction, that too when it was riddled with many lacunas and loopholes---Circumstances established that the prosecution had failed to bring home the guilt of accused---Appeal against conviction was allowed, in circumstances.
