MUHAMMAD WAQAS VS State S. 302(b)--- Qatl-i-amd--- Appreciation of evidence--- Sentence, reduction in---Medical evidence---Scope---Accused was charged for committing murder of the cousin of complainant by stabbing---Medical evidence and reports fully supported the eye-witness/prosecution evidence---Medical evidence confirmed that the deceased was brought to the hospital suffering from a stab wound to the chest and that she died on account of the stab wound to the chest as evidenced by the post-mortem and death certificate---Circumstances established that the prosecution had proved its case against the accused beyond a reasonable doubt, however, the death sentence was reduced to that of rigorous imprisonment for life---Appeal was dismissed with said modification in sentence.
