SANA ULLAH KHAN VS State S. 8-a---appeal---Scope---Section 8-a of Illegal Dispossession act, 2005, provides right of appeal only against the conviction that may be of any kind either of imprisonment or fine, or both, as such, the word "any" has been used---Previously, no right of appeal was available in the Illegal Dispossession act, 2005, therefore, the legislator felt necessary to give right of appeal against conviction recorded under the act, as such, S. 8-a was inserted---Similarly, the right of appeal against the order under S. 8(1) was also provided through the same amendment.
