ABDUL RASHEED VS ADDITIONAL SESSIONS JUDGE, ARIFWALA, DISTRICT PAKPATTAN Ss. 516-a, 517 & 523---Order for custody and disposal of property pending trial in certain cases---Order for disposal of property regarding which offence committed---Procedure by police upon seizure of property taken under S.51 or stolen---Scope---Word which has been used in the criminal procedural law to cater for the concept of superdari is "interim disposal"---Disposal of any seized property under the provisions of Cr.P.C. may be either interim or final---Interim disposal is grant of custody of a seized property pending the conclusion of investigation or inquiry or trial whichever the case may be whereas the final disposal is ordered after investigation, inquiry or trial---In fact, interim disposal of a seized property has been named and called by Courts as "superdari"---Superdari continues till the seized property is finally disposed of under S. 517 or 523, Cr.P.C.
