Dr. MUHAMMAD ASIF OSAWALA VS Mrs. QAMAR-UN-NISA HAKRO S. 2(q)---Term "service"---Scope---Definition of "service" as per S.2(q) of Sindh Consumer Protection Act, 2014, can be split into different parts---First and inclusionary part defines a service to generally include provision of any kind of facilities, then specifically envisaging provision of advice or assistance, such as the provision of medical, legal or engineering services---Exclusionary part omits rendering of any service under a contract service or a service, the essence of which is to deliver judgment by a Court of law or Arbitrator.
