MUNIR AHMED KHANZADA VS State S. 497---Penal Code (XLV of 1860), Ss. 269, 270 & 337-J---Negligent act likely to spread infection or disease dangerous to life, malignant act likely to spread infection or disease dangerous to life, causing hurt by means of a poison---Bail, refusal of---Scope---Accused persons were alleged to have been apprehended while transporting 30 kilograms powder of "mainpuries"---"Mainpuries" was a dangerous substance and was injurious for the health of human beings---Such huge quantity of mainpuries could not be foisted upon the accused persons, more particularly, in view of the fact that no mala fide or ill-will against the police was alleged---Prosecution witnesses had supported the version of the complainant---Sufficient material was available with the prosecution to connect the accused persons with the heinous crime---Accused persons had admitted the recovery of subject contraband substance from them by contending that it was tobacco purchased by them from the market, which rather adversely reflected upon the accused persons---Application for grant of bail was dismissed, in circumstances.
