KHAN MUHAMMAD VS State S. 302(b)---Criminal Procedure Code (V of 1898), S. 164---Qatl-i-amd---Appreciation of evidence---Confessional statement of accused---Scope---Accused was charged for committing murder of his daughter and her paramour while seeing them in hugging position---Accused was immediately arrested and shortly thereafter confessed his guilt before a Judicial Magistrate---Judicial Magistrate who recorded the confession in his evidence had confirmed that the accused made confession in accordance with the law---Accused did surrender voluntarily before the police and confessed his guilt according to FIR and numerous police witnesses who had no reason to falsely implicate the accused had corroborated that position in their evidence which fit in with his confession---Circumstances established that the prosecution had proved its case against the accused beyond a reasonable doubt---Appeal against conviction was dismissed, in circumstances.
