Dr. SUNIL ANAND HOTWANI VS ABDUL WAKEEL S.13---Statutory tenant---Scope---Tenant becomes a statutory tenant if the agreement between him and the landlord expires but he still continues to retain the possession of the rented premises even after expiration of the agreement---In such an event, the rights and obligations of the parties would be governed on the same terms and conditions as stipulated in the expired agreement.
