MUHAMMAD IDREES VS State Recovery of crime weapon---Scope---Recovery of a crime weapon is a corroboratory piece of evidence---In the absence of substantive evidence, it is not considered sufficient to hold the accused person guilty of the offence charged---When substantive evidence fails to connect the accused person with the commission of the offence or is disbelieved, corroborative evidence is of no help to the prosecution case.
