AHMED VS State S. 302(b)---Qatl-i-amd---Appreciation of evidence---Motive was not proved---Scope---Accused was charged for committing murder of the son of complainant by utilizing stone---Motive set up by the prosecution was quite vague---Admittedly no independent witness was brought by the prosecution, even not a single word was deposed by any of the witnesses regarding the background of any ill-will or bitterness between the accused and deceased---Incident had erupted all of sudden without any premeditation whatsoever---Complainant and eye-witness had not disclosed any ill-will of the accused with the deceased---Investigating Officer of the case had failed to collect any evidence in respect of motive---Appeal was dismissed by reducing the sentence from life imprisonment to imprisonment for twenty two years, in circumstances.
