AMEER SHAH VS State Ss. 336, 337-a(i), 504, 147, 148 & 149---Hurt by corrosive substance, shajjah-i-khafifah, intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace, rioting, rioting armed with deadly weapon, unlawful assembly---appreciation of evidence---accused was charged that he along with co-accused injured the son of complainant by causing blows of crystal glasses on various parts of his body---Record showed that accused was nominated in FIR with specific role---Injured witness had categorically implicated the accused by stating that the accused caused crystal glass blow at his left eye---Version of injured witness had been supported by the evidence of complainant, who admittedly was present at the time of incident---Both the said witnesses were cross-examined at length, but their evidence had not been shattered---No material contradiction was found in the evidence of prosecution witnesses to disprove the charge---Ocular evidence of complainant as well as injured witness was at same lines and the same was supported by medical evidence---Presence of accused at the place of incident had not been denied---Nothing has been brought on record by the accused to show any illegality or irregularity in the impugned judgment---Serious allegations had been levelled against the accused that he had caused crystal glass blow at the left eye of injured witness due to which his eye was badly damaged, which has also been proved by the evidence of prosecution witnesses as well as medical evidence---Prosecution evidence was credible and confidence inspiring---appeal against conviction was dismissed, in circumstances.
