BASHIR ALI SHAHZAD VS BANK OF PUNJAB art. 4---Right of individuals to be dealt in accordance with law---Scope---article 4 of the Constitution states that it is the inalienable right of every citizen, wherever he may be, and of every other person for the time being within Pakistan to enjoy the protection of the law and to be treated in accordance with the law---article 4 of the Constitution confers a more basic right than the fundamental rights because, unlike the fundamental rights, it cannot be suspended.
