ISLAMABAD HIGH COURT, BAR ASSOCIATION, ISLAMABAD VS ELECTION COMMISSION OF PAKISTAN through Chief Election Commissioner, Islamabad arts. 184(3), 185 & 199---Original jurisdiction of the Supreme Court---Scope---Interference in judgments of the High Court---Supreme Court can examine the legality of any judgment, decree or order passed by a High Court and can set it aside, if the same is found to have been passed otherwise than in accordance with law, only in the exercise of its appellate jurisdiction conferred on it under article 185 of the Constitution or by or under any law and not in the exercise of its original jurisdiction under article 184(3) of the Constitution---Supreme Court in the exercise of its original jurisdiction under article 184(3) of the Constitution does not have the power to make an order of the nature mentioned in article 199 of the Constitution against a judicial order of a High Court, directly or indirectly.
