MEER HASSAN VS State S. 498---Penal Code (XLV of 1860), Ss.337-A(ii), 504 & 34---Shajjah-i-mudihah, intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, common intention---Pre-arrest bail, grant of---Delayed FIR---Accused sought pre-arrest bail in an FIR lodged under Ss. 337-A(ii), 504 & 34, P.P.C.---First Information Report of the incident had been lodged with a delay of about nine days, which appeared to be significant---Allegation against accused was that he had caused hatchet backside blow to the injured on the left side of his head, whereas, as per medical certificate the same was on the right side of the head and the kind of weapon used was opined as a sharp cutting---Offence with which the accused was charged did not fall within the prohibitory clause of S. 497, Cr.P.C.---Accused was admitted to pre-arrest bail, in circumstances.
