MUHAMMAD AKRAM RAHI VS The COPYRIGHT BOARD S. 41---Rectification---Scope---Term 'rectification' is not specifically defined in Copyright Ordinance, 1962 therefore, it entails ordinary dictionary meaning---In the context of Copyright Ordinance, 1962, term "rectification" means that Copyright Board can adjudicate all claims against grant or refusal of registration of copyright or an interest therein on application of the Registrar or an aggrieved person with or without allegations of infringement of intellectual property rights---Copyright Board apart from other functions is also conferred with jurisdiction to decide claims regarding infringement of copyrights under the Copyright Ordinance, 1962 which includes rectification applications based on infringement of intellectual property rights.
