SOHAIL AKHTAR VS State Ss. 302(b), 324 & 337-D---Qatl-i-amd, attempt to commit qatl-i-amd, jaifah---Reappraisal of evidence---From the evidence of the prosecution witnesses it is well established that the petitioner/convict had committed the murder of deceased and caused injuries to his son---Ocular account of the occurrence is in line with the medical evidence brought on the record---Prosecution witnesses have not been shattered during cross examination and their evidence is confidence inspiring---In the circumstances, the prosecution has successfully brought home guilt against the petitioner beyond any shadow of doubt---Conviction of petitioner was maintained---Jail petition was dismissed and leave was refused.
