Zulfiqar Ahmed alias Bhutto VS State S. 9(1), Serial No. 3(c)---Possession of narcotic substances---Appreciation of evidence---Chain of safe custody proved---Prosecution case was that 1120-gram charas was recovered from the possession of accused---Record showed that the prosecution meticulously established the chain of custody through Investigating Officer, Moharrar and complainant, who submitted the parcel to Forensic Science Agency---Seal "MB" remained intact from the moment of seizure until delivery to Forensic Science Agency---Police Constable testified that the parcels were received in a sealed condition and placed in the Maalkhana and on 28.02.2024, the sample was handed over along with Road Certificate to complainant for submission---Forensic Science Agency Report confirmed that the sample was received in intact sealed condition and, upon examination, was found to be charas---Integrity of the seal, proper maintenance of the chain of custody and absence of any tampering fulfilled the mandatory requirements for establishing the prosecution's case---Circumstances established that the prosecution had successfully proved its case---Appeal against conviction was dismissed, accordingly.
