DILSHAD AKBAR VS INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE, PUNJAB, LAHORE art. 18-a---Re-investigation---Stage---Filing of investigation report in Court---Effect---There is no encumbrance for police to conduct re-investigation or further investigation of a case even if an earlier report under S. 173 Cr.P.C. has been submitted before Court and the Court has taken cognizance of the matter---Police is competent to re-investigate and to submit fresh challan on the basis of subsequent investigation---Transfer of investigation is regulated by art. 18-a of Police Order, 2002---Only impediment in such regard is that re-investigation or further investigation is not permissible after conclusion of trial of criminal case.
