SUNNI ITTEHAD COUNCIL VS ELECTION COMMISSION OF PAKISTAN R. 94, Explanation---Elections Act (XXXIII of 2017), S. 215(5)---Constitution of Pakistan, Arts. 51(6)(d), 51(6)(e) & 106(3)(c)---Explanation to Rule 94 of the Election Rules, 2017, vires of---Seats reserved for women and non-Muslims in the National Assembly and the Provincial Assemblies, allocation of---Eligible political parties---Explanation to Rule 94 of the Election Rules, 2017 being beyond the scope of Section 215(5) of the Elections Act, 2017 and inconsistent with the provisions of Articles 51(6)(d), 51(6)(e) and 106(3)(c) of the Constitution, was ultra vires the Elections Act, 2017 and the Constitution, thus void and invalid.
