Mir HAMMAL KHAN VS ELECTION COMMISSION OF PAKISTAN, through Secretary, Islamabad Ss. 142, 143, 144 & 145---Election dispute---Statements of witnesses---Original affidavits, failure to produce---Effect---It is mandatory requirement to file statements of witnesses on affidavits, along with election petition, otherwise the petition is considered deficient---As per section 145 (1) of Elections Act, 2017, if provisions of sections 142, 143 and 144 of Elections Act, 2017 have not been complied with, then Election Tribunal has to summarily reject such election petition.
