MUHAMMAD WAQAS VS JUDGE FAMILY COURT, LAHORE S.9(1)---Family suit---Written statement, filing of---Statutory timeline, extension of---Scope---In terms of subsection (1) of S.9 of the Family Courts Act, 1964, the defendant in a family suit is required to file written statement within 15-days of his appearance before the court, which time may be extended by the court if the defendant shows sufficient cause that prevented him to file written statement within time.
