SAIF-UR-REHMAN VS STATE. Benefit of doubt---Principle---Scope. An accused cannot be deprived of the benefit of doubt merely because there is only one circumstance which creates doubt in the prosecution story. Even a single circumstance creating reasonable doubt in the prosecution case is sufficient to extend the benefit of doubt to the accused as a matter of right.
