SECRETARY, DEPARTMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION, AZAD GOVERNMENT OF THE STATE OF JAMMU AND KASHMIR, MUZAFFARABAD VS JALIL-UR-REHMAN TAREEN. Photostat of document , tendering of ---Scope and effect---It was alleged that the land in dispute was allotted to the Appellant (Agriculture Department) vide allotment chit dated 03.06.1957, however, in support of said claim only a photocopy of allotment chit had been produced---A photostat copy cannot be read into evidence---Thus, in the present case, the High Court acted in accordance with law while accepting the writ petition of the respondents---The impugned judgment being well-reasoned did not call for interference---Appeal, filed by the Department, was dismissed.
