SINDH IRRIGATION AND DRAINAGE AUTHORITY VS PROVINCE OF SINDH. Principle---"Vigilantibus Non Dormientibus Jura Subveniunt"---Scope. The legal maxim "Vigilantibus Non Dormientibus Jura Subveniunt" means that law assists those who are vigilant and not those who sleep over their rights. A person who fails to exercise legal remedy within prescribed time cannot seek indulgence of law without showing sufficient cause.
