Mst. SHAISTA HUSSAIN VS FARZANA NAHEED. Ss.2(l) & 15---Punjab Rented Premises Act, 2009---Landlord and tenant relationship, existence of---Proof---Burden of proof. The onus to prove existence of relationship of landlord and tenant between parties is upon the landlord who seeks eviction of tenant. A person claiming eviction must first establish the foundational relationship which confers jurisdiction upon Rent Tribunal.
