SAID-UR-REHMAN VS State. Ss.164 & 364---Confessional statement---Requirements. Magistrate must explain to accused that he is not bound to confess and that confession may be used against him. Magistrate shall not record confession unless, after questioning accused, he has reasons to believe that confession is being made voluntarily. Expression "reasons to believe" requires objective satisfaction based on credible material and personal observation of accused's behaviour.
