Muhammad Arshad VS State S.417---Appeal against acquittal---Scope--- When a Court of competent jurisdiction records acquittal on the basis of cogent and convincing reasons, such judgment cannot be disturbed in a mechanical manner--- For setting aside judgment of acquittal, it must be established that the same is arbitrary, fanciful, perverse or contrary to record--- An accused acquires presumption of innocence after acquittal and such verdict can only be disturbed in exceptional and extraordinary circumstances.
