MUHAMMAD SAEED VS AKHTAR AHMED 1991 SCMR 224, 1992 SCMR 1170, Sindh Rented Premises Ordinance 1979--15 , Sindh Rented Premises Ordinance 1979--18 , Sindh Rented Premises Ordinance 1979 ----Ss.15 & 18---Relationship of landlord and tenant---Appellant/tenant was put into possession of the disputed shop by father of respondents---After the death of father, lease of the property was granted in favour of respondents---Respondents filed eviction petition against appellant---Appellant denied relationship of landlord and tenant with respondents on the ground that appellants had been put into possession by father of the respondents and they had been paying rent to him---After death of father, rent was being deposited in Court in his name and respondents had neither served notice of change of ownership nor claimed rent--Held, deposit of rent in the name of deceased father of respondents did riot absolve appellant of his liability to make payment of rent to respondents.
