PROVINCE OF THE PUNJAB VS MAQSOODA BEGUM West Pakistan Urban Rent Restriction Ordinance 1959--13 , West Pakistan Urban Rent Restriction Ordinance 1959 ---S.13--Proceedings under Ordinance being of quasi-judicial nature, Rent Controller while exercising jurisdiction under Ordinance has to act as a personal designate--Rent Controller can pass an order regarding eviction of tenant if he is satisfied that such order is warranted in accordance with provisions of Ordinance Such satisfaction can be acquired after such enquiry as can be deemed appropriate in each particular case--Tenants having failed to file written reply despite they were allowed several opportunities spreading over a period of more than six months to file same, Rent Controller competently directed that tenants were no more entitled to any further opportunity to file written reply.
