MAHMOOD BASHIR VS MUBINA BEGUM Sindh Rented Premises Ordinance 1979--21 , ---Ss.16(2) & 21--Non-compliance with order to deposit rent-- Effect-Ejectment on account of failure to deposit rent as ordered by Rent Controller, challenged--Plea that arrears of rent were deposited in another case filed by tenant-appellant against respondent's husband, not entertained--Rent Controller specifically directing appellant-tenant to deposit arrears as well as future rent within prescribed period and allowing him to withdraw rent already deposited in wrong name-Appellant failing to comply and continuing to deposit in wrong name in complete disregard and defiance of order--Contumacious insistence on the part of appellant that he would continue to do as he liked in spite of order of Rent Controller--- Failure to comply with specific direction of Rent Controller to deposit rent entailed liability of eviction from demised premises under S.16(2) of Ordinance--View taken by Rent Controller and High Court being unexceptionable, appeal had no merit and was dismissed with costs.
