ABDUL REHMAN VS AHMAD KHAN Sindh Rented Premises Ordinance 1979--2 , Sindh Rented Premises Ordinance 1979--27 , West Pakistan Urban Rent Restriction Ordinance 1959--2 , Ss. 2(h), 15 & 27(3) read with Sind Urban Rent Restriction Ordinance (VI of 1959), Ss. 2(a) & 13-Hotels-eviction-Words "be continued and disposed of in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance" occurring in S, 27(3) of Ordinance XVII of 1979-Have two separate disjunctive clauses, first means to continue proceedings instituted under Ordinance (VI of 1959), and protects basic rights of parties and second refers to procedure to be adopted-Rights of parties in other words to be regulated in accordance with old Ordinance (VI of 1959) while procedure to be adopted for disposal of cases filed under old Ordinance to be one under new Ordinance XVII of 1979-Remedy in cases filed under old Ordinance for eviction of defaulters from hotels being available under. old Ordinance, held, not destroyed by new Ordinance due to hotels being not included in definition of premises in S. 2(h) of new Ordinance.-[Interpretation of statutes].
