ABDUL MAJID VS NAIMUN NISA BEGUM Sindh Rented Premises Ordinance 1979--14 , S. 14(1) & (2)-Ejectment-Personal requirement-Contention that landlady having owned and possessed another residential premises in same locality could not avail of benefit of summary eviction under subsection (1) of S. 14 irrespective of purpose for which eviction sought or purpose to which owned premises put in use-Held : (Subsection (2) of S. 14-Cannot be read in isolation from subsection (1) of S. 14Nexus between personal use for which eviction sought and premises owned and possessed by landlord in any locality being imperative, wide meaning sought to be put on subsection (2) negates very intent of Legislature, i,e., to give benefits to certain class of persons to obtain summary eviction for personal use only if other owned building not put to such use in fact or not capable of being put to purpose for which eviction sought-Existence of such other building irrelevant for purpose of subsection (1) of S. 14.-[Interpretation of statutes]
