RAIS AHMAD VS MIAN ABDUL JABBAR Cantonments Rent Restriction Act 1963--17 , S. 17(2)(vi) read with subsection (7)-Cantonment Board's sanction for construction of new building-Need not subsist on date of order of eviction-Rent Controller merely required to see requisite sanction obtained-Owner may obtain extension of sanction, if expired, subsequent to order of eviction-Sanction if not extended and building remaining un-demolished and not re-constructed within prescribed period exposes owner to criminal liability.
