UNITED BANK LIMITED VS IV COURT OF ADDITIONAL DISTRICT JUDGE EAST, KARACHI S. 15----eviction petition---Locus standi and maintainability---Rent proceedings in question had admittedly been instituted by the petitioner-Bank through its authorized officer who was empowered through power of attorney executed in his favour by the Executive Board of the Bank and the Executive Board was vested with all such powers at the relevant time---Petitioner had filed the power of attorney along with the eviction petition, appeal and present petition, and the authenticity and veracity whereof had not been challenged by the tenant in his written statement---Rent proceedings in question, therefore, could not be held to have been instituted without authority merely because the power of attorney had not been produced in evidence---Tenant had not challenged the concurrent findings of the courts below regarding maintainability of the eviction petition, and as such the same had attained finality.
