PROVINCE OF SINDH, through Secretary Irrigation and Power Department, Government of Sindh, Karachi VS LAND ACQUISITION OFFICER/DEPUTY DISTRICT OFFICER (R&R), ROHRI S.18---Reference against award---Limited/special jurisdiction of Court---Scope---While entertaining a reference under S.18 of Land Acquisition Act, 1894, District Court would be a Court of limited jurisdiction and was bound to determine whether the matter would come within the limits of its jurisdiction---Court had to see: firstly, that reference under Land Acquisition Act, 1894, was made to it by an authority competent to make a reference (i.e. Provincial Government); and secondly, that such reference was related to a matter which might be referred thereto under the Act.
