VS adversarial and non-adversarial system---Scope---adversarial and non-adversarial systems incorporate a wide range of variations---adversarial system aims to ascertain the truth through open competition between the litigants, furthermore the scope of such proceedings is limited to the claims made by the litigants---Whereas in the case of the non-adversarial system the adjudicatory body is actively involved in investigating the facts adduced before it and is not limited to dominus litis (a person to whom a suit belongs).
