MUHAMMAD HASSAN VS State S. 302(b)---Qatl-i-amd---Appreciation of evidence----Ocular account supported by medical evidence---Effect---Accused was charged for committing murder of his wife with knife and strangulating her with a dupatta---Record showed that the story of prosecution and confessional statement of the accused was corroborated by the medical evidence---Lady Medical Officer, who conducted the medical examination of the dead body of deceased found flaccid and bruises, face swollen, tongue swollen and blue between the teeth, chin, neck and front chest scratched, two wounds on abdomen and left intestine bulging out, and the nature of wound was stated to be sharp edges regular---Defence failed to bring anything in accused's favour from the testimony of the Medical Officers---Ocular account and confessional statement were in consonance with the medical evidence---Case of prosecution was further supported by the recovery of blood stained knife "churri", blood stained cloth and dupatta of the deceased and its positive reports---Circumstances established that the prosecution had proved its case beyond any shadow of doubt---Appeal against conviction was dismissed, in circumstances.
