Mst. SUMEERA SALEEM VS State S. 302(b)---Qatl-i-amd---Appreciation of evidence---Recovery of weapon of offence and other incriminating material from the spot---Reliance---Accused was charged for committing murder of her husband and two daughters by slitting their throats---Investigating Officer in the presence of officials secured bloodstained cleaver suspected to be the crime weapon, whereby throats of the deceased persons were slit, where accused was also found lying unconscious---Two bloodstained swabs, two pieces of bloodstained bed sheets and a piece of sheet stained with blood were also recovered---After analysis of the bloodstained clothes, bed sheets and other articles secured from the crime scene, a positive report was received from Forensic Science Agency, which was secured in the presence of official witness, showing that the articles in question were stained with human blood---Report further suggested that the DNA profile obtained from swabs taken from blade of toka had a mixture of at least two individuals i.e. male individuals, and the female individual and the stained sections taken from a hood upper belonging to the accused had a mixture of two females referring to the accused---Circumstances established that the prosecution successfully proved the indictment against the accused, which did not require to be meddled with---Appeal against the conviction was accordingly dismissed.
