SYED NASEER BURHAN VS AZAD GOVERNMENT. Principles---Review jurisdiction---Scope---The scope of review jurisdiction is inherently limited only to address errors that are apparent on the face of the record. The Supreme Court is not empowered to reappreciate evidence, reassess factual findings, or revisit issues already decided on merits unless a glaring mistake or manifest injustice is demonstrated. In the present case, the petitioners failed to point out any error of law or fact that met said high threshold. The arguments advanced were primarily aimed at reopening matters already adjudicated, which were beyond the permissible scope of a review. The petition for review lacked substance and was dismissed.
