Parvaiz VS State Ss. 302(b), 324, 504, 148 & 149---Qatl-i-amd, attempt to commit qatl-i-amd, intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace, rioting armed with deadly weapons and unlawful assembly---Appreciation of evidence---Presence of eye-witnesses at time and place of occurrence established---Inmates of house being natural witnesses---Accused were charged with committing the murder of the wife of the complainant's brother by firing---Ocular account of the complainant and eye-witness was natural, coherent and confidence-inspiring---Both were inmates of the house where the incident occurred at night, and their presence at the scene was not only natural but inevitable in the circumstances---Relationship of eye-witnesses with the deceased did not by itself render their evidence untrustworthy, particularly when law recognizes that related witnesses are often the most natural witnesses in such cases---Depositions of said witnesses remained consistent on all material aspects and their evidence was in complete harmony with the FIR, medical findings and physical circumstances of the case, forming a reliable foundation for the prosecution narrative---Circumstances established that the prosecution had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt; however, due to mitigating circumstances, the death sentence was converted into imprisonment for life---With said modification in sentence, appeal against conviction was dismissed, accordingly.
